Two scents can tell a story neither could alone. A short guide to wearing fragrances together.
Layering is less about mixing and more about sequence. The heavier scent goes on first and closest to the skin; the lighter one sits on top, like a veil.
Start with a base
Choose something with resin or wood in its heart. Nocturne and Smoke & Velvet both hold their shape well, so a brighter scent can move above them without disappearing.
Add light, not volume
Bergamot Vesper or Ivory Hours over a darker base reads as one composition with two moods. Keep the top layer to a single spray.
Heavier scent first, on skin
Lighter scent second, on fabric
Never more than three sprays in total
